Japan: Ideal union of the new and the old

Best known for its ancient traditions and wonderful heritage with dash of modernization, this spring, Japan is on our getaway list. From the hearty street food, nightlife and modern architecture, most travelers head over to witness pink Japan. Famous for its high-rise buildings, shopping and pop culture, Tokyo happens to be one of the world’s busiest cities. From skyscrapers, museums to historic temples, the city has numerous options for the tourists explore. Asakusa Senso Ji Temple is the oldest temple of Tokyo and it generally tops the list. The other hotspots include, Imperial Palace, Tokyo Skytree, Yamashita Park for its waterfront views and the beautiful Shinjuku Garden and the Royal Garden. Asakusa Senso Ji Temple & Imperial Palace

Before heading to the spiritual city, a beautiful Cruise Tour in Lake Ashi is a must. Oh, there is nothing like the amazing view of Mount Fuji from Hakone Ropeway. If you get a chance, take the world famous Bullet Train to Osaka. It is absolutely worth it. While it isn’t a usual city, Osaka is port and commercial centre of Japan. Visit the neon-lit entertainment district Dotonbori, movie-themed amusement park – Universal Studios Japan and the Umeda Sky building for a breath taking view of the city.

Mount Fuji & Kinkaku ji Temple

It is a shame if you chose to skip the city of temples and ancient artwork, Nara. However, the two highlights of the city are World Heritage Site of Todai Ji Temple and the Nara Deer Park. Once was the capital of Japan, today, Kyoto it is lovely city on the island of Honshu. The city is best known for numerous Buddhist temples, palaces, gardens, shrines and traditional wooden houses. You can visit the Nijo Castle from Inside followed by the Kinkaku ji Temple Golden Pavilion. Also, you must definitely stopover at the Kiyomizu Dera and Osaka Castle.

Todai Ji Temple & Nijo Castle

Having been destroyed by an atomic bomb during the World War II, Hiroshima is regarded as the ‘modern’ city. While you are in the city, head over to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, the famous Sadako Monument Peace Park, Cenotaph Monument and the Bomb Dome.

Shinjuku Garden & Tokyo Skytree
